I know this was a little while ago, but I was wondering what everyone else thought of the return of hitchhikers to the radio, and radio four specifically, a few months back.
Personally, I enjoyed it but felt it was a little odd, since it just followed the story line of the books, rather than continuing with the plot of the radio show, which did dissapoint me slightly.
Also, I was surprised to find myself liking William Franklyn, the new boive of the book, since Peter Jones was quite so good first time round. Anyone else like/dislike the change? Or, indeed, is there anythin glaringly obvious you think i've missed out here that you liked/hated about the series.

Re: Hitchhikers guide...
Mon, December 13, 2004 - 7:12 AMYeah, I listened to it.
It was good, but it wasn't as good as the original.
I bought the DVD of the TV series, and I guess I was a bit disappointed, cause I thought it was better in my mind. Still enjoyed it, though.
I guess it's just not cricket to compare the new stuff with the original!
